Taiwan does not have a dedicated statute governing cookies. The banner on this site is therefore our own practice, not a legal mandate. We describe it honestly here, framed for consistency with the privacy notice and Taiwan’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA, 個人資料保護法).
What cookies are

Both can be useful, and both can be used to track people across sites. This site uses them only for the first purpose.

This site uses no analytics or third-party cookies of any kind. No Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no measurement tag, and no third-party request runs on any page of this site.

No session cookies, no authentication cookies, and no third-party cookies are set. If you clear localStorage, the banner will reappear on your next visit and you can choose again.
Managing or disabling storage
You can clear localStorage and cookies from your browser’s settings at any time. Rejecting the banner does not block any site functionality — the articles, the coverage page, and the inquiry form all work whether you accept or reject. Rejecting only records your preference; accepting only records that you acknowledged the notice.
Third-party usage
None. Fonts are self-hosted on this domain; scripts are bundled locally. No request leaves this domain for a third-party host at runtime.
Impact of disabling
If you clear localStorage, the consent banner will appear again on your next visit. No content is withheld, and no feature breaks.
